precarious is a collective of artists who want to explore multimodal poetry, spiritual practice, and radical resistance. We believe in transcending genre and the corporeal plane, but in all honesty—we only have so much money in our bank account.

We host readings and events in the Bay Area, with members also living in Los Angeles, PDX, and San Antonio.

Diana Lizette Rodriguez is a rasquachera experimental artist, poet, and filmmaker. Published in Womanly Magazine, Asymptote, Unstamatic, the Hong Kong Review, and more. Her films have been presented in programs around Texas, Mexico City, and the Performance Space in New York City. Her book, Poemas Antes de Nacer, was published by diSONARE Editorial (Mexico City) in 2026. She is the founder of Calle Soledad Presa, an experimental rasquache artists-book press y más.

Aubrey King is a trans poet living on Ohlone land, San Francisco. They received an MFA at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics where they were the Allen Ginsberg graduate fellow. You can find their poems in Noir Sauna, Poetry, Warm Milk, among others.

Originally from Bakersfield, Madeline Rose Hernandez is a poet and teacher living in Berkeley. Was the Anselm Hollo graduate fellow at the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics. Work can be found in Blue Bag Press, Denver Quarterly, diSONARE, boundary2, The Back Room, and elsewhere. Madeline makes chapbooks and zines and wants to bring the nothingness back into words.

Bill Shultz is a poet, sometimes fiction writer, and painter from the Ozarks, currently based in Portland, Oregon. They hold an MFA from Naropa University's Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics. Their work has appeared in Tiny Spoon, Big Muddy, The Aurorean, and elsewhere. They are interested in textures, physical, sonic, and otherwise, including those that emerge in silence and space.

Silas Snyder is a self-taught conceptual artist and drummer (@pillowprinceband) whose work operates as a visceral form of social critique through realism, abstraction, and scrawled text. Their creative practice touches the liminal spaces shaped by psychomagic and altered states, exploring how personal and collective grief, prayer, and moments of clarity can disrupt and/or reveal the boundaries of self and society.
